Masters Thesis Student,        Email: chaudhar@cse.uta.edu   Contact: 817-272-0896 (Lab)	about me and my research group My name is Bhushan Chaudhari and I am a thesis student in DBXLAB with    Dr. Gautam Das.            Currently, I am working on an interesting problem which involves working with probabilistic databases, where the data content is uncertain but we know what probability distributions the data follows. The objective is to investigate how standard database operations on such fuzzy data can be enhanced to provide statistical information such as confidence and ranking along with the query answers. We are also investigating how our algorithms can benefit real life OLAP and data mining applications which involve such uncertain databases.                                                 Along with me and Dr. Gautam Das,   Dr. Nick Koudas from University of Toronto, Benjamin Arai and Dr. Dimitris Gunopulos from University of California , Riverside are also investigating on the same problem. before joining UTA            Before Joining UTA in Spring 2005 for my masters, I worked with Mahindra-British Telecom, India , for a stint of 17 months. I worked on a MIS project in MBT with the inhouse customer of MBT, that's British Telecom. I hold bachelors degree in Computer Engineering from VIT, University of Pune . While completing my undergraduate degree, I worked with a premier government research organization,   C-DAC for my final year project.
